Groove Optic for the Lux2940 A Breakthrough in Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc., is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Groove Optic for the Lux2940 fractional handpiece. The new optic represents a significant advancement in fractional ablative skin resurfacing by creating a unique, grooved injury pattern on skin that increases ablative tissue coverage while preserving the benefits of fractional approaches.

Unlike available fractional ablative devices that remove vertical columns of tissue, the Groove Optic for the Lux2940 handpiece ablates lines of tissue resulting in a uniform, high-coverage pattern that promotes younger looking skin and more effectively disrupts the structural memory of wrinkles.
In a recent clinical study(1), patients treated with the Groove Optic for facial skin resurfacing reported minimal downtime (an average of four days), along with rapid resolution of side effects. Preventation and Protection from skin aging

As day pass by, we are becoming older and older. Everytime we celebrates our birthday, we had just become one year older that before. But not only your age number is increasing, so did your skin risk to aging. A lot of people felt frustrated with their skin condition as they grew older. But that is not a reason for you for taking care about your skin health anymore. There are a lot of ways to prevent and protect you from skin aging. - 20’s – first signs of wrinkles around the eyes and lips will appears.
- 30’s – skin is less resilient elastin is declining and gravity starts showing itself.

- 50’s – gravity is not kind and a decrease in collagen and elastin causes skin and muscles to sag.
