Dermatologist Recommended Anti Wrinkle Skin Care Products

Posted by Reporter on Monday

Anti wrinkle programs are all the rage lately.  There are spas, expensive serums and books about the topic .

Dermatologist treatments may be effective, but they are costly and frequently come with a whole slew of side effects.  A little redness or irritation might be something you’d expect .  But, several of the treatments truly bring forth bleeding.  Women that have them cannot leave their houses for days.

Reading up on the subject doesn’t hurt.  Nicholas Perricone has one of the most complete programs.  It includes dietary recommendations and other helpful hints.  His line of skin firming products leaves a lot to be desired, however .

One would think that a dermatologist would demand that a product bearing his name was free of allergens.  Usual reasons for visiting a dermatologist are sensitised or adverse reactions caused by the ingredients in cosmetics .

Perhaps Dr Perricone is unaware that artificial preservatives like parabens and added fragrances are the most common causes of unwanted side effects.  But, he’s probably just adhering to the policies created by the major cosmetic companies.

They insist that artificial preservatives are necessary to limit the risk of infection caused by bacterium growing in the tubes and bottles.  Other companies disagree.  They say that natural vitamin E is an effective preservative and is also good for the skin’s health.

Research conducted by Consumer Reports suggest that expensive anti aging serums are no better than inexpensive ones.  All of the products they tested were beneficial for some (not all) of the volunteers, even the basic moisturizer that they used for comparison .

The most striking results were seen when products contained specific compounds.  Coenzyme Q10, peptide complexes, bioactive keratin, natural skin lighteners, kelp extracts, grape seed oil, avocado extract and Shea butter are among the most beneficial compounds, according to several independent studies .

So, here’s my advice .  Look for a good all-natural moisturizer and use it every day.  If you don’t know what the ingredients are, do some research and find out .  purchasing anti wrinkle skin care products without doing the research can put your skin’s health at risk .
